Job Requirement

  • Medical Doctor/Medical Assistant or Nurse or midwife required and had experiences of IMCI and TB
  • At least two years successful experience managing health programs in developing countries.
  • Experience in interfacing with Ministry of Health personnel, partners, volunteers, and NGOs.
  • Fluent English speaker; strong writing skills.
  • Organizational management experience.
  • Excellent problem solver, a self-starter, ability to work independently; functions well in a multi-task environment.
  • Comfortable working and living in a rural setting.
  • Commitment to the mission and vision of Medical Teams International.

Responsibility

  • Ensure that clinical components of the program remain on target towards accomplishing project objectives, in accordance with MTI Project Cycle Management standards and requirements.
  • Collaborate with OD/PHD and providing supportive supervision and capacity building to Health Centers staff to ensure the quality services of Health facility on IMCI and TB service for children under five years and C-IMIC.
  • Develop clinical project plans to address gaps in the public health system, including tuberculosis (TB) screening/diagnosis/treatment per MoH standards and pediatric TB care in particular.
  • Serve as the primary technical backstop to implement, monitor, & report upon the achievement of clinical aspects of program objectives and provide technical assistance to other staff.
  • Coordinate with OD/PHD for MCAT meeting, IMCI and provide input to ensure the quality of services.
  • Communicate consistently with key stakeholders.
  • Keep a master schedule of all project clinical activities and track progress against plans.
  • Ensure that clinical project interventions foster approaches that encourage sustained inputs from communities and the public health system.
  • Coordinate clinical staff for writing of the implementation plan and interim reports and submit to MCH-Project Manager
  • Contribute to writing of the implementation plan, interim reports
  • Coordinate the preparation of training curriculum and materials and provide training of health Center staff , VHSGs and MSG related to health topic
  • Remain current in best practices, current issues and trends in MCH and international health, including and pediatric TB support.
  • Cooperate with Project Manager for project implementation, and communicate directly with Health Program Manager and Asia Health Advisor for technical project input
  • Liaise regularly with Project Manager for reporting and with MTI-C technical and program quality staff.
  • Provide supportive supervision to MTI MCHF field staff to build capacity of technical knowledge on C-IMCI.
  • Coordinate with field staff for data collection and ensure all qualified data reports are submitted to MCH Project Manager.
  • Other duties as required by Country Manager, Project Manager and Health Program Manager
